Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is a faster, safer and compact version of the traditional CT scan (Computed Tomography). In this technology, the size of the scanner, radiation dosage and time needed for scanning are all dramatically reduced by utilizing a cone-shaped X-ray beam.

At Westwood and Starwood Dental, we provide CBCT. A full scan typically requires less than 15 seconds and up to a hundred times less radiation dosage than that of a regular CT scanner.

This machine can provide true 3-dimensional imaging of areas within the head and neck. In addition to it, a wide variety of 2-dimensional standard radiographs are also available.
